Looking in the mirror, I am faced with who I am:
I'm a man who's known as Mani, though I 'm sometimes known as Man.
Bleary eyed and conscious there's a clarity to me
As I look into the mirror:  I'm abundant.  I am free.

I've carved out a career from the things I love to do.
I've learnt to leave the false behind and seek out what is true.
It isn't always easy – I'm impatient oftentimes:
I can be the chap that grumbles at the mountain as he climbs.

But every day in building, I'm a little more effective,
And I see the world more clearly.  I'm a little more objective.
I'm starting to be ready for a splendid reputation.
It's like a train I've boarded.  It is time to leave the station.

This was a poetic portrait written for a visitor to my Fig2  solo exhibition at the ICA in January 2015.
