The sea of choice
We know so little of the sea.  It's vast and really deep.
If the girl in me would wish it, I am sure the sea would keep
Any secrets I might have that I did not wish to share
With a living human being who was actually there.

One day I'll go travelling; it might be soon... or not.
Experience will add to all the things that I have got.
I'm a curious inquisitor.  I'm happy in my heart,
And I'm on an epic journey turning science into art.

So where will all this end, I wonder?  I have no idea.
And this is rather wonderful to say and think and hear.
I do not know the future but I'm scuba-ing for sure.
Decision making's brought me here.  Now I'm choosing more.

This was a poetic portrait written for a visitor to my Fig2  solo exhibition at the ICA in January 2015.

What is a Poetic Portrait?
