Immersed

You put your pen to paper.
You watch it twist and curl
As the liquid of your thinking
Is translated into swirl.
Lines and dashes, spaces;
An ellipse against a wall,
And in these simple shapes
Lies the answer to it all.

None have been to see
The crown you wear
When you are there.
